COMPANY HISTORY

"Helping people solve their problems is our job. We take it very seriously, and we do it very well."

Leigh Hearon Investigative Services began business in 1992. Our client list stretches from Seattle to Singapore. Many of these are long-term clients who continue to use the agency for ongoing needs.

Our principal, Leigh Hearon, has a strong background in journalism, which draws on many of the same skills demanded of an investigator. She holds a masters degree from The American University in Washington, D. C., and a B. A. in Communications from Lewis & Clark College, Portland, Oregon.

Before becoming a private detective, Ms. Hearon worked for The American News Service in Washington, D. C., The Washington Monthly, The Oregon Times, and Microsoft Corporation. She has received numerous awards in the field of journalism and writing.

Her belief and commitment in supporting women in a traditionally male-dominated field led her to establish one of the few all-female detective agencies in the country.

We often work on behalf of people accused of crimes. We also help individuals with their specific information needs. In addition, we work on unsolved cases, and have a good rapport with law enforcement agencies across the country.
